In the fall of 2005, a young female bald eagle was discovered building a nest at Ritter Farm Park in Lakeville. As of May 2008, Lakeville’s pair of bald eagles appear to be caring for at least one new eaglet. Last year, their first as a nesting pair, the two successfully hatched two eaglets that grew up, learned to fly, and left the nest. The eagles have been spotted in various locations throughout Lakeville in every season.
